About Me
I hold a a BPsych (MGI) and PGCE (UNISA)
My training and internship included but was not limited to working with children and adolescents at ACDiSA, METT Therapy. I have worked as a Telephonic Clinician as a EAP Counsellor) and as well as Trauma debriefing and counselling at the Soshanguve Police Station Victim Empowerment Unit.
I have also done extensive additional volunteer work at USDC a local NGO running group sessions, doing individual face to face and telephonic counselling for disadvantaged families.
I thoroughly enjoy ongoing training in my field to continuously build on my knowledge and experience as well as to keep abreast of new research, findings and methods.
My combined exposure to various learning environments and experience where I have counselled individuals, families and couples in a wide variety of South African contexts, and professionally registered with the HPCSA, enables me to provide my clients with holistic, up to date psycho-social care which affirms that the quality of the relationship is more important than the structure of the relationship.
I am also a Speaker and Workshop Facilitator who is passionate about providing psycho-education to disadvantaged communities, starting the conversation about mental health and breaking the stigma and shame associated with Mental Health and Mental Illness.
